What does the logo represent?
The point resembles location markers that transitions into a road: in line with the theme of road safety/SRSC. The heart shape represents the volunteers’ goal in spreading Road Safety. awareness.
How was your process for the creation of the logo?
Before I started creating the logo, I read up about SRSC and their reasons for starting the Friends of SRSC programme. Through it I wanted to create a logo that’s simplistic but also meaningful. From there I decided on the heart design.
What are the learning points doing this logo?
Through this competition, I’ve learnt many new tools and functions. My lecturers also helped me out by giving me feedback on my concepts l before started pathing in Illustrator such as dashed lines and multi coloured strokes.
Why did you choose this course and how has it been so far?
I’ve chosen to join Nitec in Visual Communication because I’ve always been interested in graphic design and wanted to pursue it after secondary school. It’s been going great! I’ve learnt a lot and the campus’s environment is so lively. I’ve had gotten to know many like-minded people who are interested in design/art with different personalities and styles.
What do you enjoy most in the course?
Definitely how accessible the resources are, such as the computers and drawing tablets to name a few. I also enjoyed learning different softwares, being able to seek necessary feedback from my lecturers and being able to be around my friends while i work too!!!
